This design reflects my preferences. I love gnomes and also have a penchant for astrology! So I decided to put both together and design zodiac gnomes. This is the next in this series of zodiac gnomes, with more to come! From 20.2. the sign of the zodiac is Pisces. In this motif you will find the fish constellation, the fish sign and in writing the birth planet “Neptune” and the element “water”.
From this instruction you can crochet a cushion or a wall hanging and is surely a great birthday present.
You can crochet this cushion or wall hanging with any type of yarn.
This cushion is crocheted in the mosaic technique overlay. You will receive a 14 page PDF tutorial with a short introduction to mosaic crochet, coloured charts/diagrams for the motifs, a small photo tutorial for the stitches used and written instructions for the first rows, for an easy start. Therefore also suitable for ambitious beginners.
Size: Width: 50 cm Height: 50 cm (with the yarn & crochet hook I used)
Yarn consumption: 225g/580m blue und 175g/440m dark blue (These are approximate figures, because everyone crochets differently, sometimes tighter or looser, etc.!!! Of course you can also crochet with other colours, as you like it! If you want to use a whirl, then I recommend to use a plain whirl as a background and the motif colour can be bright! Just make sure you get a good contrast!
    Applied stitches & technique:
    Chain / Chain
DC Double crochet / Sc Single crochet
DC in back loop only / Sc in back loop only
Tr Treble in front loop of st 2 rows below / Dc Double crochet in front loop of st 2 rows below
    Technique: Mosaic - Overlay

If you are a beginner, watch videos on YouTube. You will find quite a few videos there. This technique is easy to learn.
